Team Overview
The Immaculate Conception Dardenne Track and Field team, established in 2010, is a proud member of the St. Louis CYC Sports Association. The CYC conducts three qualifying meets followed by the CYC City/County Final Meet, where the top six finishers from each event advance. With around 2,000 kids competing across the four qualifying meets, the competition is intense. Our team also participates in two pre-CYC meets, providing athletes with valuable experience and allowing coaches to identify the best events for each child. Participation in these meets is expected, as results will inform event placements for the CYC qualifier. CYC Track is a competitive league, and we practice up to three times a week. For athletes to remain competitive, commitment to at least two training sessions per week is essential, as well as participation in pre-CYC meets. Our program includes both boys and girls 1st through 8th grade. Track events include sprints, distance and various field events. Eligible youth include parishioners and non-parishioners as long as they live in the ICD parish boundaries. If you are not in the ICD boundaries and your local parish does not have a track team, you are eligible to join the ICD team.
